ABOUT IVAN HARDER QUARTER HORSES I started showing steers in 1950 and had a Shorthorn Breeding program, showing many Grand Champion Cattle at major stock shows and state fairs around the country. When my 3 daughters showed an interest in showing cattle we exhibited at state fairs, Kansas City, Denver, and the Chicago International show and did very well exhibiting several Grand Champions. My oldest Daughter Nanalee had a great desire to ride horses and starting with a pony at open shows and we advanced into Quarter Horse shows. She had an interest in Western, English, Jumping, etc. All 3 daughters became deeply involved in showing. I was one of the 50 syndicate owners of Te N’ Te, the first non race quarter horse to be syndicated for $1,000,000. I started buying a small select set of broodmares for breeding, including the great Sonny Go Lucky Congress winner Cookie Go Lucky and Deena Pay also a Congress winner and full sister to Magnolia Gay. I loved the athletic ability and conformation of Two Eyed Jack and purchased Two Eyed Babe and Two Eyed Dudette, both AQHA Champions and bred them to Te N’ Te. Two Eyed Babe produced the great Te n’ Te son, Te Two Eyed. I raised a number of Superior Halter and Performance horses that won The World, State Fairs and Tom Powers futurity. When my daughters left home, I decided to disburse my quarter horses. So in 1986 I disbursed my QH broodmares along with Te Two Eyed an own son of Te N’ Te, Superior Halter, AQHA Champion and Reserve World Champion and Jr. Western Pleasure horse. It was the 2nd top selling sale of 1986. My daughter Nanalee married Tom Wells and they purchased a ranch at Purcell, OK. Nanalee stood different stallions including the 2 year old Kids Classic Style and I bred a mare which resulted in the great show mare Ultimate Indulgence, 2 times World Champion and 2 times Honor Roll mare. I always kept involved in a small way and kept a mare Perpetual Hit at Clark Rassi’s and along came Hurricane Ivan and several really nice horses by The Top Secret. YOU DON’T HAVE TO GO TO TEXAS TO BUY THE GREAT ONES. CONTACT US FOR YOUR NEXT WINNER! Thank you for visiting ~ Ivan Harder |
